Accommodation Letter

To use your accommodations, you must activate your accommodation letter at the start of each term. This does not happen automatically.

Once your accommodation letter is activated, your instructors will be notified and you’ll be able to access services such as peer notes and test or exam bookings.

How to activate your accommodation letter

  1. Wait until the first day of the term. You will not be able to send your letters until this date. Connect with your Accessibility Advisor if you need to send your letter before the start of the term.
  2. Log in to Student Accessibility Online Services Portal using your Fanshawe credentials.
  3. Click Accommodation Letters on the main menu.
  4. Select Request and follow the instructions to renew your accommodation letter for the term. View step-by-step screenshot instructions

When the status shows Approved, your instructors will have access to your accommodation letter and will be notified by email.

Test and exam accommodations

In-person tests

Students with in-person test accommodations must book with the Test Centre at least two business days before the test date to guarantee space and accommodations. Book through Student Accessibility Online Services Portal by selecting Book a test.

Online tests completed at home

If you have accommodations that apply to online tests, contact your instructor in advance of the test date to make arrangements.
