Lab Practice-Nursing Skills

This lab course provides Nursing stream students with opportunities to review and apply the fundamentals of nursing from a Canadian healthcare perspective. Students are expected to articulate the principles and knowledge underlying their nursing techniques/practice in order to develop safe and effective practice when planning and providing care, including health teaching that is client centered and trauma informed in a culturally safe environment. Collaboration, clinical judgment, critical inquiry, problem solving and responsibility for one's own practice will be emphasized.
