Overview
Tea: From Leaf to a Better Cup
This 2-hour in-person workshop introduces participants to tea as a mindfulness and wellness practice. Through guided tea preparation, mindful tasting, and reflective activities, participants explore how tea rituals across cultures have long supported relaxation, reflection, and holistic well-being. The workshop includes an introduction to tea leaf interpretation presented as a symbolic and reflective practice, similar to journaling or guided imagery. The focus is educational and experiential, emphasizing personal insight, stress reduction, and intention-setting rather than fortune-telling or prediction. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: (1) Describe the cultural and historical significance of tea rituals. (2) Identify common wellness teas and their traditional roles in self-care. (3) Practice mindful tea preparation and tasting as a grounding technique. (4) Use symbolic tea leaf patterns as prompts for personal reflection. (5) Identify ways to incorporate tea rituals into everyday wellness routines.
