Real-World Experience

Advanced Simulation Environments

Career-Ready Training

Labs & Spaces

Some programs in this School include simulated opportunities. These labs blend the use of XR (Extended Reality) technology with real-world scenarios, professional actors, and lifelike mannequins to offer students a dynamic and realistic learning experience. Incorporating professional actors adds an extra layer of authenticity to the simulation, enhancing your ability to respond effectively in profession-specific scenarios. This interdisciplinary approach allows you to practice skills in a controlled but highly realistic setting, closely mimicking the challenges you’ll encounter in real clinical and community settings.

In health-related programs, students train in immersive clinical environments designed to mirror real emergency response settings. These suites use high‑fidelity mannequins, simulated patient rooms, and mobile equipment to help you practice assessments, treatments, and critical decision‑making under pressure. Scenarios replicate everything from medical emergencies to trauma responses, allowing you to develop confidence before stepping into clinical placements.

XR Lab

Our XR lab combines the experience of virtual reality (VR) and the interactive elements of augmented reality (AR). Through immersive virtual and augmented reality scenarios, you will safely practice responding to complex, high‑pressure situations that would be too risky or difficult to recreate in traditional training. These scenarios help build resilience, enhance decision‑making, and improve readiness for real‑world emergencies.

Experiential Learning & Career Pathways

Co-op placements

Apply your learning through paid co‑op opportunities that build confidence and real experience. Programs like Law Clerk and Executive Administrative Assistant give you the chance to work in professional settings, strengthen your skills, and make industry connections before graduation.

Field Placement

Several programs include field placements where you work directly with agencies, offices, or community partners. These experiences help you apply class concepts to real situations, develop practical skills, and understand the daily responsibilities of public safety and administrative roles.

This program was fantastic and the curriculum was invaluable in my preparation for the paralegal licensing exam. Additionally, the connections that I built during the program have assisted in my career. I currently work in Provincial Offences and use my education from the program in my everyday tasks. The professors were not only knowledgeable in the field but incredibly helpful in navigating the rigorous program.
