PREP OR PARE Three Training/Practice Test Sessions
Course Code PFLP 1022 - Fee: $100.00

Participants will attend three two-hour sessions or six one-hour sessions - Day, evening and weekend testing times available.

Looking for a career in Policing or Customs. The PREP test is a Bonafide occupational test that is used as part of the Constable Selection process by many police services in Ontario as part of the hiring process. The PARE test is used by CBSA as part of the hiring process. This course will allow the participant to learn training tips and techniques for the PREP or PARE test. Participants will have an opportunity to work on the individual components prior to running the complete course.

Participants will fill out a 2015 PAR Q+, waiver and if required the online e-PARmedX or a PARMedX may need to be filled out by a doctor. The PREP/PARE is vigorous intensity exercise and may be maximal intensity for some persons.

One Practice PREP OR PARE Test Session
Course Code PFLP 1023- Fee: $40.00

Participants will attend one – one-hour session - Day, evening and weekend testing times available.

This course will allow the participant to have 15 minutes of practice time on the elements of the PREP or PARE and then run the practice PREP or PARE test. A certificate will not be issued at the end of the session.

Participants will fill out a 2015 PAR Q+, waiver and if required the online e-PARmedX or a PARMedX may need to be filled out by a doctor. The PREP/PARE is vigorous intensity exercise and may be maximal intensity for some persons.

The Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (PARE) Test
Course Code - PFLP-1024 - Fee: $60.00 for a one-test session

Day, evening and weekend testing times available.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is using the Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (PARE) as a screening tool in the officer trainee (developmental) selection process to assess a person's ability to perform the physically demanding use of force training undertaken during the Officer Induction Training Program at the CBSA College.

Students must have a physician complete and sign the medical clearance form to ensure they are medically able to participate in the PARE. Once a medical clearance is obtained, you may book a date for the test. You must bring the medical form to the PARE session. Applicants must successfully complete the PARE in 4:45 minutes or less as part of the CBSA officer trainee (developmental) selection process. If you are successful, we will provide the CBSA with your results. You will also be provided with your original PARE results form, which you will be required to show as proof to the National Recruitment Team when requested to do so.
