For many Fanshawe students, the biggest threat to their education is financial. The Friends of Fanshawe Bursary exists to change that. By reducing the burden of tuition and rising living costs, this bursary gives students the breathing room they need to stay focused, stay enrolled, and succeed.

When a student doesn't know where their next meal is coming from, everything else is put at risk. Gifts to this fund go directly to the Sharing Shop, Fanshawe's on-campus food bank, to keep students stocked with nutritious food and essential personal care items.

Ontario is facing a critical shortage of nurses, and the gap is growing. Fewer nurses per capita live here than anywhere else in Canada, and more are leaving the profession every year. Fanshawe's School of Nursing is expanding to help close that gap, launching a new four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree in fall 2026 alongside its existing programs.

Manufacturing in southwestern Ontario is changing quickly. Automation, connected systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies are reshaping how products are made, and employers need workers who understand them. Fanshawe is building a Centre of Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing to give students direct, hands-on experience with the tools driving modern industry.

Fanshawe launched its eterinary Assistant certificate and Veterinary Technician diploma programs in 2025 to meet growing demand for skilled animal health professionals across Ontario. The next step is a dedicated veterinary simulation lab where students can practise real clinical procedures and build confidence before working with live animals.
