User Experience Design

At the heart of every innovative solution and product is user experience (UX) design. Learn to generate innovative solutions and products that meet the needs of diverse audiences using human-centred design practises and design research frameworks. You will become immersed in all aspects of the user experience, creating new solutions that are usable, enjoyable, and accessible.

GIS and Urban Planning (Co-op)

What will our world look like in 20, 50 or 100 years? What kind of positive influence can we have on it? If these types of questions interest you, then check out the GIS and Urban Planning program, where you’ll learn how to conserve and restore natural environments, while enhancing built environments, culminating in sustainable communities. Graduate with the essential technical and design skills needed for a rewarding career as a planning, design, or AutoCAD technician, or as a GIS technician, operator or analyst.

Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media

If you have a background in graphic design, photo and video editing, broadcasting or animation, the Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media program will give you the skills for a career as a specialized post-production professional. Prepare for a career in advanced post-production, in areas of film or video editing, visual effects, compositing, animation and motion graphics.

Game - Design

Game design is about harnessing creativity and building entire worlds for players to express themselves. The game design program is a three-year advanced diploma where you will develop your 2D and 3D skills by studying art and design theory, modelling, animation, texturing, anatomy and drawing. This program focuses on the tools and techniques you’ll need to start a career as a 3D modeller, concept artist, animator, level and game designer.

Veterinary Assistant

The one-year Veterinary Assistant certificate program covers the skills and knowledge required to assist in delivering quality animal care as a member of the veterinary team. You will gain a strong foundation in animal care, health and well-being, preparing you for a veterinary clinic setting. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians to care for various types of animals.

Veterinary Technician

Our two-year Veterinary Technician diploma program provides the comprehensive skills and knowledge to excel in this rewarding career. Learn directly from faculty members who are experts in the field, gain hands-on experience and master the fundamentals of helping improve the health and well-being of animals.

Welding and Fabrication Technician (Co-op)

Welding and Fabrication Technician is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program with a paid co-op component. Students will learn a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge in the new state-of-the-art welding lab. Graduates will feel confident entering the workforce after a significant amount of in-lab practice time to master their craft.

Welding Techniques

The welder is respected on any job site or shop floor as a person who works with their hands and understands the foundational theory needed to get the project finished. If you want to be ready to write your welding ticket test in less than a year, Fanshawe’s Welding Techniques program will get you there.
