These in-demand and transferable skills are applicable across a wide range of sectors, from nonprofits, to IT, to education, to private-sector businesses, etc. In this micro-credential, learners apply their skills to real-world grants/proposals/responses to RFPs and craft key components in these documents; learners also reflect on their progress. This micro-credential is suitable for both learners who are new to these documents and those who have prior knowledge and experience. Microsoft Word (or equivalent) and Adobe Reader are required. Learning Outcomes: 1. Identify persuasive content elements to include in grants and proposals, based on grant application guidelines, RFPs (Requests for Proposals), and audiences for other proposals. 2. | Writing Canadian Arts Grants is an online micro-credential that equips learners with the skills to craft successful applications for Canadian arts grants, since securing funding through these grants is often essential for success in the arts in Canada. In this micro-credential, learners apply their skills to craft key sections of real-world grant proposals for the Canada Council for the Arts (and related bodies), the Ontario Arts Council, and representative municipal funding agencies; learners also reflect on their progress. Learners experience hands-on material and feedback beyond what is offered through funding bodies' own supporting material (e.g. Canada Council webinars). Learners will examine the benefits and risks of using AI in this on text and will consider industry perspectives on its use. Learners will then apply their knowledge through using AI to help them craft persuasive content for key sections of grants and proposals; they will also reflect on their progress. While this micro-credential is ultimately accessible to all learners, those who are completely new to grant-/proposal-writing may find it beneficial to complete one of the other micro-credentials in this series (one is focused on grant/proposal writing in general; the other is focused on Canadian arts grants) before enrolling in this micro-credential.
