Indigenous Learning at Fanshawe

A hub serving Indigenous, First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students, staff and allies.

Welcome to all new and returning students!

The Institute of Indigenous Learning provides academic services, social, cultural, and recreational activities as well as a comfortable atmosphere for First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and non-status students.

The Institute of Indigenous Learning (formerly known as the First Nations Centre) opened its doors in 1996.

During the first year, there were 72 First Nations students registered with the Centre and that number has continued to grow. We are now consistently in the top 3 Ontario colleges for the number of Indigenous students attending with over 500.

We are excited for you to be among this number! Chi-miigwech! Yaw^ko! and Anushik! for allowing us to walk this journey with you.
