I’m a two-time graduate and have been a part of the Fanshawe family for over 5 years. I would describe myself as a person with a versatile skill-set, a lot of integrity and a willingness to go the extra mile to help a student. During my time with Fanshawe, I have worked with a number of departments with amazing teams, offering me a wealth of information. As a Student Recruitment Officer, I love connecting with students to help them align educational pathways with career goals. When I’m not in the office you can find me watching sports, reading or exploring the great outdoors. I look forward to chatting with you about all the ways Fanshawe can help you in your journey!

I’m a two-time Fanshawe graduate and have been part of the Fanshawe family for over 15 years. In that time, I have carried out a few different roles within the College and my current role is connecting directly with students to help align your educational pathways with your career goals. When I’m not meeting and greeting students, you will most likely find me criss-crossing the City of London on my bike.

What I love about my job is engaging with future students to help them find their educational pathway and achieve their career goals. I’ve used Fanshawe’s amazing pathway opportunities to leverage my educational journey from diploma to degrees; cutting down the amount of time and money spent on school! I look forward to helping you find your own path.

As a three-time Fanshawe graduate with five years of experience on the Fanshawe team, it’s safe to say that I’ve learned a lot about Fanshawe and the services we provide. Although I did utilize many of our fantastic student services and attended many events, it was not until after I graduated that I realized I had barely scratched the surface of what was available to me. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience to help the next generation of Fanshawe students make the most of their time here!

Indigenous Recruitment and Community Relations Advisor

Rochelle Smith graduated from Fanshawe College’s Business Marketing Program in 2013. She is from Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, born and raised. Rochelle’s unique blend of knowledge, cultural understanding, and relationship-building gives her an innate ability to foster good relationships, partnerships and collaborations for student success.
Rochelle understands the importance of establishing trust and rapport, particularly when working with Indigenous communities and stakeholders. Her respectful and inclusive approach allows her to effectively communicate and engage with people, creating an environment of mutual understanding and cooperation. She understand how impactful post-secondary can be, and is here to help assist First Nations, Métis and Inuit students throughout their academic endeavors.
