Virtual Production - Unreal - Microcredential

The Virtual Production using Unreal Engine Micro Credential will provide learners with the opportunity to develop skills within a Film Production setting. Each student will prepare a scene using Unreal Engine software with a plan for use in a specific virtual production setup. During the course each student will film their scene using the virtual production workflow and specific cinematography techniques that are taught in the course. This Micro Credential requires the learner to have some previous knowledge of Film or Television production. Learning Outcomes: 1. Create and load an Unreal Engine scene and output that scene to a video wall (projector/LED TV/LED wall). 2. Light and expose a studio scene with actors and practical set pieces, and a virtual production in Unreal Engine scene background. 3. Create a Computer Graphics scene using software (Eg. Unreal Engine) that matches the perspective and lighting of an onset actor for use as a background for virtual production. 4. Set-up and utilize a workflow for virtual production in a film production setting. 5. Match exposure, depth of field and motion parallax between a foreground object or actor and a Monitor Wall or Screen. Total class hours - 15
