Dark Room Film Processing - Microcredential

The microcredential will teach learners how to develop black and white images from their film camera in a traditional darkroom facility. An experienced instructor will guide the learners through the entire process of black and white film development. Student will use their own SLR camera or any other analog film camera. This microcredential is for novice to advanced photographers who want to take their photography skills to the next level and for people who have tried these techniques have tried film development but wish to improve their results. Learning Outcomes: 1. Practice darkroom developing using an entirely manual 35 mm film camera. 2. Recognize the use of light and time and how they relate to one another. 3. Demonstrate the use of composition in order to create a dynamic image. 4. Demonstrate the entire process by producing a final black and white image. Total class hours - 15
