Emergency communications professionals, including 911 dispatchers, provide a calm and reassuring presence to those experiencing a crisis and serve as a vital link in relaying information to police, fire and paramedics. Fanshawe’s 911 and Public Safety Communications one-year program provides students with the foundational knowledge and specialized communication skills required to work in the highly demanding and unpredictable field of public safety communications.

Electromechanical Engineering Technician is a two-year Ontario college diploma program combined with a co-op component. Students will learn to analyze, modify, maintain, and repair electromechanical components. Additionally, students will learn project management skills, and the ins and outs of mechanical prints, tolerances, and the mechanical nuances of a system. Machines continue to shape our world and this program will give you the necessary skills to meet the demand.

Construction Engineering Technology is a three-year advance diploma for students interested in overseeing the construction of residential, industrial and commercial projects. Students will learn to estimate project costs, develop a construction plan, schedule projects, and perform on-site inspections using the latest technology. Graduates will be prepared for their career by learning soft skills required to be an effective leader.

This apprenticeship program is designed to give students the skills necessary to pursue an exciting and rewarding career as a professional hair stylist. As part of a supportive and nurturing environment, you’ll learn the essentials of the hair stylist profession, with classes in cutting and styling, hair colour and lightening, facials and makeup, and chemical texture services. When you graduate, you will have completed all of the classroom hours necessary for your trade certificate.
