Workplace Diversity

Workplace diversity presents both opportunities and challenges for organizations. While progressive employers value and promote workplace diversity, employees need to cultural competence to ensure a respectful and productive workplace. The course will focus on ethnic, religious and racial diversity, but students will also explore other aspects of diversity, including gender, age, sexual orientation and ability. Students will reflect on their own experience with workplace diversity and identify opportunities to develop and demonstrate cultural competence.
