Enhance your skills by studying basic cooking methods and food preparation of both savoury and baked goods, safe food handling, food storage procedures as well as nutrition and therapeutic diets. Upon completion of the in-school component of this program, you’ll be prepared to write your Red Seal Certificate of Qualification.

The Developmental Services Worker (DSW) apprenticeship program allows you to pursue a formal credential on a part-time basis while continuing to work. Your learning will be dynamic with a focus on mental and physical health, interpersonal skills, teaching and positive behaviour supports. You’ll learn how to collaborate and build relationships with family members and to work with the diverse network of professionals who support people with developmental disabilities.

The paid apprenticeship portion of this program will expose you to real kitchen problems and test your skills under the direction of experienced Chefs.

This innovative collaborative financial management program will give you the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to take on the exciting wealth and finance industry with confidence. This program is a four-year collaborative degree offered by King’s University College at Western University and Fanshawe College. Successful graduates of the program will receive a Bachelor of Arts - Finance (three-year) degree from Western University and a Business - Finance (two-year) diploma from Fanshawe College.

If you’re already working as an early childhood educator and wish to build on your successes, the Childhood Development Practitioner Apprenticeship program is specifically designed for you. Upon successful completion of this program, you’ll graduate with an Ontario College Certificate in Early Childhood Education. The apprenticeship portion of this program will provide a meaningful learning experience in child development and best practices in early childhood, making you more valuable to your current or future employer.

Fanshawe’s Industrial Electrician program provides apprentices with the knowledge to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and electronic controls. This includes everything from light fixtures to electrical motors, transformers and generators. Through troubleshooting and calculating measurements, loads and angles and master theories to solve simple and complex problems, graduates will begin a rewarding career as an Industrial Electrician certified through the Ontario College of Trades.

If you’re looking to study music and gain employable skills in the business of music, the Music Recording Arts program is for you. This five-year collaborative degree program combines a Bachelor of Music degree from Western University with a diploma in Music Industry Arts from Fanshawe College.

Automotive Service Technician (GM-ASEP) is a two-year Ontario College Certificate Apprenticeship program. Students will learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain GM cars and trucks. The apprenticeship component allows students to earn money while they apply their skills and knowledge in real-world situations. Students will be able to apprentice at sponsoring GM dealerships where they can refine their skills. Graduates will leave Fanshawe as highly trained mechanics with specialized skills.

Automotive Service Technician is an Ontario College Certificate Apprenticeship program. Students will learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain engines. Students will have the opportunity to specialize in engines, suspensions or brakes. An apprenticeship component allows students to earn money while putting their knowledge to the test in real-world situations.

The Agricultural Equipment Technician - John Deere Ag Tech apprenticeship program teaches students specialized skills needed to solve complex problems with John Deere equipment. Students will learn to diagnose, maintain and repair John Deere agricultural equipment, and will finish with an additional 4 months of training on the latest John Deere technology.
