Student Success Story

"Fanshawe College, Woodstock campus helped me expand my own business, I registered in the Gas Technician 2 program, which was offered as an accelerated program in the evening.  This was perfect for me as I could continue to work during the day.  The faculty were not only knowledgeable, but were currently working in the field.  His experience was an invaluable resource.  My company has grown tremendously and I am now instructing in the Gas Technician 3 program at the Woodstock campus, giving my students the same positive experience I had at Fanshawe." - JAMIE, Gas Technician Certificate Graduate (Oxford County Campus)

What We Offer

Apprenticeship is a partnership between those who want to learn a trade and an employer who needs tradesperson. An apprentice requires a high level of skill, judgment, and creativity. Apprentices are paid while gaining work experience. As part of all apprenticeships, there is an in-school educational component. This educational component is provided at Fanshawe College Continuing Education.

There are many paths to becoming an apprentice. The traditional approach to becoming an apprentice is to find an employer willing to teach you the trade and then contact the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and officially register as an apprentice.

For individuals that want to learn certain trade skills, but not become an apprentice Fanshawe College Continuing Education offers individual courses to tackle real world challenges.

Professional development and industry certification courses are also offered within a variety of technology related disciplines. Be the best you can be with Fanshawe College Continuing Education.
