Risky Play and Safety in Outdoor Educ - Micro-credential

The Risky Play & Safety in Outdoor Education micro-credential will provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experiences to initiate and develop an outdoor education program that supports risky play, self-regulation and safety among children. This micro-credential will explore the education theories of risky play and self-regulation, while also providing the skills necessary to develop a safe outdoor education program. Curriculum topics include, self-regulation, risky play, risk management and safety. Learning Outcomes: 1.Develop and apply an understanding of self-regulation and its role in the outdoor environment. 2.Develop and apply an understanding of risky play, risk management and safety. Total class hours - 20.
