The Outdoor Classroom - Micro-credential

The Outdoor Classroom micro-credential will provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to initiate and design an outdoor classroom for children. The micro-credential will explore experiential education theories and hands-on methodologies. Curriculum topics will include, outdoor education pedagogy, loose parts and natural materials, designing an outdoor classroom, etc. Learning Outcomes: 1.Construct outdoor environments that stimulate inquiry and process-led learning. 2.Apply knowledge of loose parts and natural materials to develop outdoor classrooms. Total class hours - 40.
