Create Your FANCard

Your FANCard is your official Fanshawe identification card. But it does more than just act as ID - keep life simple with one card and take advantage of its other convenient features. You are responsible for keeping this card safe and in good condition for the duration of your entire time at Fanshawe.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Upload your photo and government-issued photo ID

Login to the MyPhoto website (use your Fanshawe WebAdvisor username and password) to upload your photo and government-issued photo ID (e.g.: driver's licence, passport).

  • Unable to log in? Check your eligibility first; you need to pay your deposit or required fees for the current or upcoming term to successfully log in.
  • Already a registered student? Click here if you need to reset your password or contact the IT Service Desk at itservicedesk@fanshawec.ca for assistance logging in.

Note: MyPhoto is not compatible with the Internet Explorer web browser.

Step 2: Wait for an email confirmation on the approval or denial of your photo

This step may take a few business days during peak times. If your photo isn’t approved, Fanshawe will contact you about submitting a new photo.

Note: By default, MyPhoto will send status update emails to your FanshaweOnline (FOL) email account. When you upload your photo, you can choose to enter a preferred email instead.

Step 3: Pick up your FANCard!

For students studying in a blended program, you will receive an email when your FANCard is ready for pick-up with details on how to pick-up your card.

London Campus students can join the QLESS virtual line from anywhere once on campus to pick up their FANCard.

If you are studying at a Regional Campus, Downtown London Campus or London South, your FANCard will be delivered to your campus and distributed to you in the first few weeks of class, provided you have uploaded an approved photo.

If you are an online student, you will not automatically receive a FANCard; you can submit this form to request one.

Continuing Education (CE) students and any students registered in individual-day classes can request a FANCard by emailing cards@fanshawec.ca. Please include your name, student number and reason for your request (e.g.: accessing specific labs / classrooms). Your request will be assessed and you will receive a decision via email.

Digital Student Identification Option
In addition to your physical FANCard, digital student identification is now available through fancard.fanshawec.ca. While this digital ID can't get you on the bus, swipe you into rooms on campus or access your meal plan, it can act as college I.D. when getting student discounts at grocery stores or local businesses. The digital student I.D. is also an accepted alternative for campus events requiring college I.D.

The card will be available in the FANCard Office (E2020, London Campus) unless a request is made for the card to be shipped to another campus location. The Digital ID of the card will be available at fancard.fanshawec.ca as soon as the physical card is ready.

All students should upload their photo even if they do not wish to request a FANCard. Your photo is used for class rosters and helps staff and faculty get to know you, especially during these times of increased virtual learning and student services.

Is there a digital version of the FANCard?

A new digital I.D is now available. The digital I.D. can be used as proof of student status only for things such as a student discount at grocery stores, restaurants etc. At the discretion of faculty and staff, the digital I.D. may also be used as Fanshawe identification for online tests and exams.

The digital I.D. cannot be used to access the bus, for door access or on campus purchases. Your digital I.D. can be accessed at fancard.fanshawec.ca. If you experience issues viewing the digital I.D., please use another browser and clear your internet cache. For further issues, email cards@fanshawec.ca
