The focus of this course is to provide students with information on current treatment approaches and practices. Students will examine a selected range of treatment models, as well as those approaches currently in use within the province. This structural theory course will examine the fundamentals of basic structural design. Design loads, properties of cross-sectional shapes and materials, and shear force and bending moments will be studied. In addition, students will design simple beams and columns.
